Are the ghettos still there today? Can we still visit them?
Another very popular question that is asked a lot today is if the Jewish Ghettos still exist today and if they are able to be visited by tourists. The ghettos were basically like holding pins that Hitler placed the Jews in so they were separated from the rest of society. Hitler felt that the Jews weren't "regular people" in fact, Hitler didn't even view the Jews as people and felt that they needed to be punished and locked away in the ghettos. Some of the Ghettos have been destroyed, but a few still remain today and are a reminder of how so many people lost their lives. For most Jews, the ghettos were where most of them spent their last days. I wondered if these ghettos were famous landmarks still, or if some of the most famous ghettos were destroyed during the Holocaust.
